Sanctuary Rehabilitation & Fellowship Hall/ Classroom Addition
This historic church sat vacant for a number of years and experienced substantial structural damage. MBF Architects was commissioned to assist the church in obtaining zoning variances to permit the expansion of their facilities. MBFA prepared materials and assisted the church in the review process that concluded successfully with the granting of the necessary variances.
MBFA and our consultant team designed structural repairs that were compatible with the existing structure. In addition to stabilizing the structure, the rehabilitation of the sanctuary included new mechanical, electrical and sound systems.
The Fellowship Hall/Education addition provides space for the congregation to gather for meals or receptions, a function they had desired for many years. The addition also provides access for the disabled to the elevated sanctuary building.
