Profile
With more than
forty years experience in the architectural profession,
Marvin has
been the Designer and Project Architect on a
wide range of projects for private
and public clients. Among
these are several projects which have received state
and/or
Regional AIA awards for design excellence.
As lead designer
for MBF Architects, Marvin is responsible for programming,
architectural design, cost estimating, and coordination
of the design team,
on significant projects undertaken by
the firm.
Marvin’s professional
background includes experience gained working in
New York
City, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Little Rock, Arkansas, prior
to his
locating in New Bern, North Carolina in 1986. He
has been a firm principal and
owner for twenty-two years.
In that time he has been responsible for office and
commercial,
industrial, educational, and both multi and single-family
residential projects.
In his role as a principal
of MBF Architects, Marvin’s responsibilities include
project
design, marketing, firm management, communication
with clients, contract negotiations,
and scheduling of work.
